7th January 2015

A quick response to a massive fire at a Tewkesbury factory helped save the jobs of 200 people.

Chairman of the MX Group, Bernard Robinson, has revealed that the key to its survival was making sure production started again as quickly as possible.

The company, which makes shower trays from its site in Alpha Close, Delta Drive, Tewkesbury Industrial Estate, was hit by the blaze on the night of Thursday November 13.

Up to 80 firefighters did their best to contain the fire but it still caused between £3 million and £4 million worth of damage.

Following hard work that has seen the company continue to fight back from the setback, Mr Robinson said: "It really is good news. Everybody has done so much. We've created so much in such a short period of time."
